You will find a number of American flags - stars and stripes - in the terminal. The American flag consists of 7 horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) alternating with 6 white ones, with a blue rectangle in the upper hoist-side corner bearing 50 small, white stars. The number of stars became 50 in 1960 as Hawaii became a state on August 21, 1959.
