In Manhattan, the 5th Avenue,
a one-way street for southbound traffic, divides the
east and west sides above 8th street. The lower the
address number on a street, the closer it is to 5th
Avenue. By and large, Manhattan's streets are laid out
in grids, and it is easy to get around. However, there
is no particular street pattern in Lower Manhattan -
making it more difficult to get around.
